There is no such table as supplied by Oracle.

When i change the local system date the dbdate also changes. I want to restrict the dbdate.

How would you explain usage of the $$dbdate$$? What is it, what does it represent?

the dbdate is a date from the database. It should not change with sysdate.

What do you call a "sysdate" (in your last message)? In Oracle, SYSDATE is a function that returns the current date and time set for the operating system on which the database resides.

$$dbdate$$ is Forms system variable and it shows current date on the server machine.

$$date$$ is another Forms system variable that shows local system date.

Now: where is your database located? Is it installed on your PC? If so, both $$dbdate$$ and $$date$$ as well as SYSDATE will return the same value.
