I have a number or oracle forms that utilize both libraries and templates. The templates have always been stored in the database while the libraries and forms themselves are accessed via the file system. In updating a system somehow a form now has started to fail compilation with the above error.

Even when loading in the form designer it fails to find the template objects. When I produce the object list report I can see were it wants to find these template objects on the file system when in reality they are in the database. I have no idea how to tell it to go back to looking in the database for these template objects. I have manipulated libraries in the past where it asks you where you would like to access them from, but the templates do not.

Any help?

p.s. the search routine brought up hundreds of form issues unrelated to 18108 when I searched so that was not helpful.

Could not that answer be given for the majority of questions here?

Actually, I believe that ball is rolling also. I was looking for a timely answer and thought it may be found here.

Please post the error message as well as the error code.

Please confirm that you have connected to the database before opening your form.

As storing templates in the database has been discontinued, this might be the time to take the forms out of the database and save them to the file area. This saving in the file area by another developer may be the action that is giving rise to your current error.
