Hi,
I am new to this field.
I am confusing about DB2,VSAM,IBM,MQ SERIES.
What are these?
I came to know this is Mainframe data.Is this right?
How the Mainframe data would be?
what is diff between above those?
Please help me.

Hi,
All the products mentioned in your post are IBM prodcuts.
DB2: IBM RDMS product
VSAM -> Virtual Storage Access Method. This is a index file system on Mainframes.
IBM MQ SERIES: This is the messaging product from IBM. We have other messaging products like MSMQ (Microsoft message queing) product.

Well in the movies mainframes occupy a central position in the IT architecture, where they appear to control secondary systems in some way. In The Matrix Neo visits The Architect in the mainframe, and according to a recent Doctor Who episode they will still be in use on orbiting space stations millions of years in the future, in place of the Dell Linux clusters one might have expected - built to last I guess. In The Da Vinci Code, one is in use in a library.
I always have trouble explaining to non-programmers why I find this stuff funny.
