Hi .. i have forms 6i on client machine and server have oracle 9.2 version...

I have connected from client to server through sqlplus and it is connecting ..

but from Forms to server it is not connecting ..

any input plz .

i have placed the client tnsnames file.. entry in the forsm
net80.. tnsnames ...


and i give usrname/paswrod@orcl.. orcl isthe service name that connects my client machine to server


it says..

Tns could not resolve service name
while through sqllplu it is connected

i can see the tables etc and everthing

waht is the science behind it ..

I assume that you have built your connect string into a variable field of some type.

Use a message command to display this information from within your form. It may have been built with spaces in it.
